Appointment of Dan Paterson

The Board of Mathew Hale has a great announcement to make. It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you Dan Paterson whom we have appointed as a one day a week consultant. Dan who spoke at our dinner 2 years ago is known affectionately in many circles as Pato and he is a gifted young man who until recently was working with the Ravi Zacharias International Ministries as an apologist, evangelist and bible teacher but who has now established his own not for profit Christian organisation called Questioning Christianity. The mission statement for QC is "connecting the Christian story to life’s deepest questions." Dan has a B.Min, a M.A(Th) and a CTPS (Certificate in Theological and Pastoral Studies) from Wycliffe Hall at the University of Oxford. While he is officially a Baptist Pastor, his training in the UK was mainly with members of the Church of England and Dan, as part of his work with RZIM has worked with all denominations and indeed with other religions and secular groups all over the world. Dan is reasonably young but has known hardship. Indeed his talk on suffering that you can find on YouTube is not only deeply personal but one of the best presentations on the subject I have ever heard.

Dan is a fabulous communicator and can work with churches, schools, universities as well as provide a capacity for mentoring. He will start in November and we will you in touch as he gets underway.

Praise God for his mercy and his love
