"No more boring sermons: Transforming Power of Jesus" Lecture with Wine & Cheese by Dr Jay Sedwick and Ash Wednesday Reflection

You are warmly invited to join us for a wonderful evening of wine and cheese followed by a public lecture on No more boring sermons: Transforming Power of Jesus by Dr Jay L Sedwick.

Wine and cheese (7-7:20pm) will be followed by an Ash Wednesday (7.20-7.30pm) reflection led by Revd Dr Hugh Begbie. The public lecture will run from 7:30pm to 8:30pm and question time from 8:30 to 9pm.

Jay is the Department Chair and Professor of Educational Ministries and Leadership at the Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Sedwick has over forty years of youth ministry experience combined with twenty-two years of faculty service. He serves on the board of the Association of Youth Ministry Educators and has served as president of the board for the Society of Professors in Christian Education. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board for World Link Ministries, an evangelistic, church planting, and pastoral training ministry around the world. An ordained minister who teaches youth at a large Dallas-area church, Dr. Sedwick is also a popular conference and seminar speaker. His research and teaching interests include youth development, youth culture, biblical education for youth, curriculum design, and legal and financial issues in ministry.

Dr Sedwick will also be in Brisbane lecturing at the Brisbane School of Theology on “Transformational Teaching” from February 24 - February 29, 2020. Further details are available here
