At CMS QNNSW Summer School, you will hear captivating, real-life stories from our missionaries. You will learn from passionate Bible teachers. You will be challenged and inspired to see the gospel reach the world.
There are a fantastic group of speakers announced, as well as Missionaries.
Rev Dr Andrew Shead, Head of Old Testament at Moore Theological College
Andrew is married to Jean and they have three young-adult children: Katie, David, and Sophie. He has been on the faculty at Moore College since 1992. Between teaching — which he never tires of — Andrew spends time with his students, preaches, and writes on the Old Testament. In his work beyond the walls of the College, Andrew sits on the NIV Committee on Bible Translation and relishes opportunities to partner with theological educators in the majority world, especially in Africa. Andrew also enjoys literature, music, film, and the world out there.
Peter Sholl, International Director of CMS Australia
Prior to commencing this role in 2023, Peter and his wife Sarah served as CMS missionaries in Mexico for 12 years. Throughout this time, Peter was the director of MOCLAM, which provided courses in Christ-centred theological education throughout the Spanish-speaking world. Peter loves running marathons and because of his work, has been able to run marathons on three continents.
David Williams, CMS Director of Training and Development at St Andrew’s Hall in Melbourne
Originally a medical doctor, David worked in the UK before being ordained in the Church of England and serving at a local church. He and his wife, Rachel, then served in Kenya as Crosslinks missionaries for nine years, focussing on theological and urban mission training before moving to Australia.
Patrice Niveaux, President of Perspectives Church Planting Network in France.
Perspectives has been in existence for more than 50 years and was born from a merger between France – Mission and Vision France. Today, Perspectives has around 90 churches and church plants, and roughly 180 workers in the form of pastors, church planters, pastoral assistants, foreign missionaries and administrators.
