2023 Annual Dinner with Amanda Stoker

  • VC Suite, Kedron-Wavell Services Club 21 Kittyhawk Drive Chermside, QLD, 4032 Australia (map)

You are invited to join us for our Annual Dinner on Friday 5th May from 6.30 to 9.30pm. Our Guest Speaker this year is The Hon. Amanda Stoker, who will speak on the topic “Christianity in Combat: how as Christians we deal with the ambiguity and complexity of life

Amanda Stoker is a company director, columnist for the Australian Financial Review and host of the Sunday with Stoker program on Sky News Australia. She is a distinguished fellow of the Menzies Research Centre. Amanda was formerly the Assistant Minister for Women and Industrial Relations and the Assistant Minister to the Attorney-General whilst serving as a Liberal National Party Senator for Queensland. Before politics, Amanda was a barrister, law academic and public prosecutor. Amanda is married to Adam, and together they have 3 daughters. Amanda loves writing, Pilates and pottery. She cooks poorly, jogs slowly and reads avidly.

At the dinner we will also hear an update on the work or the library through the past year, which has again focused particularly in the area of supporting youth ministry leaders and relatively newly ordained clergy.

We have again held the ticket prices to previous years. $60/head, or $400 for a table of 8. Discounts for students are available - contact us. If you would like to add a donation to your tickets to help support these, there is an opportunity to do so on the ticket purchase page.
